Finally, after 14 years the new (and probably the last) OMEGA studio album was released and arrived to our warehouse. It is a limited edition CD in 15.000 copies only!

The album is a real SYMPHONIC-ROCK cd with symphonic sound, a choir and progressive heavy rock guitars, Hammond organ, keys and drums.

The 58 year old band made their 17th studio album, which can be considered as a kind of summery of their almost six-decade music-activity.
Omega always wanted to develop their music (the structure, instrumentation, message of the compositions), and we can say that the new album – TESTAMENTUM – is really a next step to a higher level.

On the previous Omega albums we could get used to the symphonic adaptions and sounds (Szimfónia, Rapszódia, Oratórium), wich of course are mixed with the typical OMEGA progressive, space and heavy rock soundings. KÓBOR János the singer says: ’Testament is a total-rock album, maybe reminds you Dream Theater’s more popular compositions.’
Among the 18 songs there are brand new compositions (12) and a few (6) reinterpretations of old and well-kown songs, Omega hits.

In November 2020 the band has been shaken by the deaths of their legendary sound engineer László Nemes (one of the band’s founders), the keyboard player László Benkő and the former bass player Tamás Mihály. So, most likely Testamentum (without an original goal) became Omega’s FAREWELL album.

This is a special release of Omega. From April 2013 the band performed several shows in the most beautiful churches of Hungary and the surrounding countries. The band teamed up with a large church choir to perform a new instrumentation of classic Omega songs. On this release the music is rather meditative than Hard Rock, but it better fits the atmosphere of the temples. The CD packed in elegantly designed digipak which would be an excellent gift for all the fans of Omega.

The Symphony & Rhapsody is the last piece of the 50th anniversary Omega-year's publication. For this time the spoken language of the album is Hungarian only. The elegantly designed double digipack would be an excellent gift for all the fans of Omega. The first disc is a symphonic orchestral transcription of Omega songs by Gömöry Zsolt of Edda, and contains fragments of Beethoven's 5th Symphony as well. As bonus the Symphonic concert has been added. The live material was recorded in 2012, Budapest Arena. The second disc is the fully Hungarian version of the album previously released as Omega Rhapsody, so the fans who has already been collected that CD will find something new in it. Rapszódia contains elements of patriotic melodies of Hungarian classical musicworks: the Hungarian Rhapsody, the National Anthem, and the Szózat.
