Rare 1968 debut solo album by future BRAINBOX and FOCUS guitarist JAN AKKERMAN.
The album was recorded after AKKERMAN’s tenure with Dutch group THE HUNTERS and was issued by EMI’s IMPERIAL label in the Netherlands. The sessions saw Akkerman joined by his HUNTERS band-mates RON BIJTELAR on bass and drummer SIDNEY WACHTEL, with COCKY AKKERMAN playing drums on ‘Slim Jenkins Place’.
The album was a clear indication of the future musical direction the highly talented guitarist was to follow in the band BRAINBOX and then as a member of FOCUS. The album featured a hoist of excellent tracks, including a memorable cover version of the BOOKER T and the MG’s classic ‘GREEN ONIONS’.
