River Of Life (The Manticore Years Anthology 1973-1977) (2CD) progressive rock

Enlarge this picture! Premiata Forneria Marconi, better known in English speaking countries as P.F.M, were arguably the finest Italian Progressive rock band of the 1970 s and certainly one of the most well known. A successful act in their home land, they came to international attention when they signed to Emerson, Lake and Palmer's label Manticore in 1973, recording a series of albums with English lyrics, some penned by Elp and King Crimson lyricist Pete Sinfield. Over the next four years they released four studio albums and a live recording for the label, and it is from these albums that this 2CD anthology is drawn. In addition, four previously unreleased live recordings from the MANTICORE vaults also grace this collection, along with the CD debut of a rare B-side to a UK single. listen to an audio sampleRiver of life / photos of ghosts / Il Banchetto / Promenade The Puzzle Taken From The Album Photos Of Ghosts Released As Manticore 43502 in 1975 / La Carroza Di Hans B-Side Of Single Released As Manticore K 13505 In 1974 (Previously Unreleased On Cd) / The Mountain / The World Became The World / Just Look Away Taken from the album the world became the world released as manticore k 53502 In 1975 / Four Holes In The Ground (Live) / Alta Loma Nine Till Five (Live) Taken From The Album Cook Released As Manticore K 53506 In 1975
